A story set in Wales of the tenth century and told through the eyes of Angharad, daughter of Hywel Dda (Howell the Good). Angharad's life is one that crosses borders: born in Dyfed in west Wales, she is sent as a child to the court of Aethelflaed, queen of Mercia.
