The Second World War brought great pressures on the life of Llanrwst GP, Dr Lewis Huws, mainly because of his own mistakes in his dealings with his friends and lovers. This novel tracks his story throughout the war. Difficult experiences force him to change his mind about some aspects of his life and gradually, his life changes for the better.
