When ten year old Arwana Swtan arrives in the town of Caernarfon to stay with her grandad, Taidi, things look very bleak for the town. The fish have all disappeared and everyone is dirt poor. But once the inimitable mermaid Swigi Dwgong makes an appearance, things start to look up. A fast, highly entertaining and hugely funny novel. A must-read.
